Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Matt. 5:8
I. The Definition OF A Pure In Heart
Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life
3 Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord?
And who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not lift up his soul to what is false
and does not swear deceitfully. Psalm 24: 3-4
8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. James 4:8
II. The Defilement of the Heart
Jeremiah 17:9-10. It is a classic verse on the heart and notice 3 things Jeremiah tells us about the heart.
A. It Is Diseased
B. It Is Deceitful
C. Diagnosis of the Heart
III. The Deployment of a New Heart-
A. It is a heart that God touches
B. It is a heart that God turns towards Him
C. Which makes it a heart that is tender towards Him
IV. The Delight of a Pure Heart
A. To Be Admitted to His Presence
B. To Be Awestruck by His Glory
C. To Be Comforted by His Grace—Psalm 27: 7-9
